Red Shallots Onions

Red shallots are teardrop-shaped and resemble miniature onions. They are wrapped in multiple paper-thin layers of reddish-purple skin that sometimes encases a single bulb or multiple segments clustered together like a head of garlic.
Description
Red onions and shallots are of the same family, but shallots have two slight differences from red onions: 1. They grow in multiple bulbs- clusters- like garlic, although they do not have the common membrane encircling the whole cluster.
